Kenny has served as President of the Hampton Roads Chapter of ASHI (HR ASHI) and of the Virginia Association of Real Estate Inspectors (VAREI). 50 Years in Plumbng and HVAC - Fifty Defects Reviewed

In this session, Kenny will use illustrations and images, many from field experiences, to demonstrate the seriousness of fifty common plumbing and HVAC defects. The defects reviewed range from troublesome to life threatening. Kenny will identify each defect, discuss the implications of the defect and then offer remedies from both a mechanical contractor and home inspector’s point of view. Each defect is clearly labeled. Bring plenty of paper and an extra pen, as note taking is highly recommended during this presentation. The animations make this presentation easy to understand and fun.

Water Heaters, Storage Tank to Tankless

Newer, safer and more efficient water heater designs are putting a variety of products in homes. Just recognizing the new equipment can be tough. This session will help you identify and understand old and new equipment operation. FVIR designs have changed gas water heaters throughout the industry. Tankless water heaters are selling big and heat pump water heaters are now showing up as well. We’ll examine them all and discuss how contractors and do-it-yourselfers get hot water to bathrooms faster. You’ll learn trouble-shooting tips and you’ll see a water heater explode, during this session too.
